Documenting the expansive, multi-material environmental graphics and signage system designed by VDIS at The Quorum Club, located in Horizon 2, Gurgaon, represents one of our most masterclass architectural photography assignments. The Quorum is an exclusive, new-age private members’ club where spatial design requires a sophisticated coming together of contrasting materials, textures, and lighting applications under one roof. VDIS conceptualized an elite signage scheme featuring wrought iron, high-polish golden brass, vintage brown brass, white and black acrylic, and custom-cut metal sheets.
Our documentation process focused on capturing this intricate diversity through the lens. From the iconic backlit wrought iron ‘Q’ emblem featuring zero light spill to the delicate, high-polish brass lettering on entry doors, the thin-stroke golden brass of The Q Shop and Providore, the vintage slant-cut brown brass of Coalesce, and the industrial-meets-organic cut-out metal of Oak & Cru—every zone required dedicated exposure management. Through our photography, we highlighted how VDIS custom-engineers each element to fit the precise psychological and aesthetic mood of its respective micro-environment within the club.
At Orange Images Photography, our unique selling proposition (USP) in architectural and interior design documentation centers on managing complex material variety and precision light control:
Controlling Multi-Material Finishes in a Single Space: Capturing high-polish golden brass, matte black acrylic, brushed wrought iron, and textured wood simultaneously requires advanced calibration. We used meticulous lighting and polarization to render the true luster of each metallic and non-metallic surface without unwanted glare.
Flawless Backlit Edge Control & Zero Spill: VDIS’s core strength lies in precise LED illumination where light stays cleanly contained. Our camera exposure technique ensures that complex backlit pieces—like the primary wrought iron ‘Q’—render sharp, distinct shapes without haloing onto adjacent surfaces.
Zonal Architectural Storytelling: We frame compositions to demonstrate how diverse signage elements (from minimalist cursive acrylic at Studio Y to industrial metal cut-outs at Oak & Cru) maintain an underlying visual harmony across a sprawling members-only establishment.
To make the visuals for The Quorum Club stand out and rank effectively online, our photography addressed several advanced technical parameters:
Balancing Mood Lighting and Metallic Luster: High-end clubs utilize dramatic, dim interior lighting. We balanced ambient warmth with targeted exposures to ensure that details like the vintage brown brass of Coalesce and the fine brass text overlays remained crisp and legible.
Preserving Thin-Stroke Integrity: Micro-signage with exceptionally thin letterforms can easily wash out under camera sensors. Our macro and medium shots retained absolute edge integrity across every zone, highlighting VDIS’s manufacturing precision.
Capturing Industrial Precision with Organic Warmth: By coordinating our shots to emphasize how metal sheet cut-outs integrate seamlessly against wooden-textured walls, we brought out the architectural depth of the club’s spatial narrative.
Today, The Quorum Club in Horizon 2, Gurgaon, stands as a thriving, fully operational sanctuary for elite professionals, creatives, and leaders. With VDIS’s masterfully crafted signages—spanning the members’ lounge, gyms, restaurants, and retail spaces—the club embodies the absolute pinnacle of luxury environmental design. Orange Images Photography is proud to preserve this diverse, multi-material showcase through imagery that proves how elite design, advanced lighting control, and architectural photography converge.
