Their journey began in 2004 when they met as students of fine arts, and evolved into a professional collaboration in 2008 that continues to thrive. Both artists hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts, where photography was a central subject. Their early training in black-and-white roll film photography and darkroom processing laid the groundwork for a deep understanding of photographic fundamentals. This analog foundation not only shaped their aesthetic sensibilities but also instilled a discipline that continues to inform their digital practice. Further honing their craft, Shailja and Shraddha pursued Master’s degrees with a specialization in photography, expanding their technical repertoire and conceptual depth.
